The new Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Event has released new details about the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Z Fold 8, and Z Flip 8. It revealed new details about specs and pricing, with new AI as core infrastructure, as well as the new watches and much more.

The upcoming devices are going to be heavily built around AI, and I am not only talking about Samsung. At the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event, the new devices that they introduced have AI as their primary selling point. The devices are not only capable of understanding user behavior better than before, but also help users in their day-to-day lives. Just like Apple, there are going to be a lot of AI features like Now Nudge, Gemini Notebook, Personal Data Engine, and more.

Samsung said that AI is going to expand across devices, including wearables, tablets, PCs, TVs, and new intelligent eyewear.
If we talk about security and privacy, Samsung has introduced the Knox security platform. With this, users are going to be able to have more control over their personal information.
Foldable Devices
Foldables are known for their convenient pocket size. Samsung Galaxy Unpacked introduced the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Flip 8.
Galaxy Z Fold 8
The all-new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra has an Armor Flex Hinge. It possesses the largest battery ever seen in a Fold, with a 5,000 mAh battery. The battery is also going to use a silicon-carbon anode, which means more energy density, with dual-path charging that reaches 67% in 30 minutes.
The display is going to have 3,000 nits of peak brightness with high-resolution dual screens. Performance-wise, it is going to have the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy.
There are going to be three main features for photo taking:
- Ultra Wide — Captures more of the scene.
- Pro Visual Engine — AI-driven processing.
- Nightography — Improved low-light performance.
The pricing is going to start around $2,099 in the U.S., with a release on August 7.
There are two others that you already know: the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8, which are going to get some upgrades and minor changes.
Watches
Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Event also introduced watches like the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 with a powerful fitness and health ecosystem.
Galaxy Watch 9
It could be the next pinnacle of health hubs. It tracks five biometrics during sleep, including heart rate, HRV, and more. It could also combine multiple activities into a single daily score and provide information and suggestions for lifestyle adjustments.
Galaxy Watch Ultra 2
Samsung has refined the design with a one-piece screen, bezel, and body for a new look. It comes with a cushion design with a reinforced structure.
The new elastic silicone band has an air pocket, which could also provide ventilation for more breathable comfort.
If we talk about the inside, it will be powered by the Snapdragon Wear Elite platform, making it the first watch to have this kind of chipset. It is also going to have a 35% larger battery, delivering up to 60 hours of use on a single charge, with up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness.
It has a rugged titanium chassis with IP69K dust and water resistance.
Samsung has also upgraded the fitness and health categories in these watches by adding new features or partnering with new brands, making the watches offer more for day-to-day life. These include Fitness Index, pre-run route preview, Hydration Estimator, and more.

Intelligent Eyewear
The device is going to have up to nine hours of battery life with the case. It will provide seven additional charges. It could be able to capture moments with the tap of a button, summarize some content, and do more. The device is going to launch in the fall.
