Development

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach was originally written before the pandemic, but he rewrote it to reflect the global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Once the game was launched, it received generally favourable reviews.

On top of that, Hideo Kojima has his own unique philosophy.  He would like the idea of players like the game form the star mainly because it means that the game is pre digested for it, like it is. He thinks more of players encounter something they don’t like at first, and then slowly they start to like it.
