MacBook Pro M6 Rumors (2026): Incredible OLED Display, Touchscreen & Massive Upgrade

MacBook Pro M6

MacBook Pro M3, MacBook Pro M4, MacBook Pro M5. We all saw them coming out with small to no upgrades. This is the first time ever that Apple is going to release a MacBook Pro M6 that features the biggest upgrades you’ve ever seen. It’s going to surprise the world with these designs, an OLED touchscreen, and other major redesigns.

MacBook Pro M6

Introduction

It’s really shocking that Apple is going to bring more than two major changes in a year. It usually doesn’t happen because each year they try to bring one major change, then another major change the next year, and this way it doesn’t kill sales and the audience doesn’t get bored.

On top of adding a touchscreen to a Mac, which we never imagined, it’s really, really shocking.

It’s not confirmed yet, but we are soon going to see the event called WWDC, where we expect to get some hints about the MacBook M6 or the new macOS and iOS 27.

One thing is certain: it’s not going to maintain the same price, mainly because of supply issues.

Design & Display

Apple is trying its best to make its MacBook thinner. Aside from that, there is a possibility that we see a punch-hole camera instead of the Dynamic Island.

Personally, I think there’s a 50-50 chance that we see either a punch-hole camera or a Dynamic Island.

But let’s talk about the major change: the OLED display and the touchscreen. The current MacBook Pros are using a Mini-LED Liquid Retina XDR display. They’re going to move from that to the OLED technology that we see in the M4 iPad Pro.

In the iPad Pro, Apple uses two OLED panels to achieve the highest level of brightness possible, and it’s really possible that we see the same technology come to the MacBook Pro M6.

Main Features & Hardware

This MacBook Pro is going to feature a brand-new M6 chip series that’s going to be made on a 2nm process, allowing better power efficiency and performance.

Rumors also suggest that the CPU and GPU are going to be on separate blocks, allowing buyers to upgrade either the CPU or GPU.

Personally, I think this is a really bad idea because, first of all, you’re going to have many storage options, then CPU options, and then GPU options. There are going to be a lot of MacBook configurations that Apple risks not selling. That’s the big risk.

But this is only a possibility, and it may not be available right away when you purchase the device. It could take some time.

There’s also the idea that the touchscreen or OLED screen is only going to be available for the M6 Pro or M6 Max versions. Apple could even create a new MacBook Ultra lineup.

We’re not quite sure, but I think there’s going to be some kind of limitation that Apple is likely to introduce.

Other Features

Yes, there’s a possibility that we’re going to see 5G connectivity on the newer MacBook Pro M6, with Apple’s C1X and N1 series technologies.

Why This MacBook Is So Hyped?

This MacBook is really hyped because it’s not just one or two major changes. It’s many changes in a single generation.

For people who have been using Apple products for a while, it’s the right time for them to upgrade. And a touchscreen is probably the most surprising feature of them all.

Possible Concerns

The price of the MacBook Pro M6 is going to be an issue.

On top of that, the OLED display and touchscreen may only be available on the M6 Pro series or M6 Max series.

There’s also a possibility that it might be delayed because Apple is planning to integrate OLED displays across more products.

So it’s very likely that Apple will eventually add OLED because of competition, but the touchscreen is still not 100% certain.

Release & Price

We can expect the MacBook Pro M6 to be released in late 2026 or early 2027.

If you’re expecting an OLED display and a touchscreen, be ready to empty your wallet.

There are rumors that the OLED display will only cost around $200 more than the standard version, but nothing is confirmed.
