Introduction

House House is the developer, and the game is going to be published by Panic. Yes, the same House House behind Untitled Goose Game, which was a massive success. Personally, I think—no, I am sure—that we are looking at another masterpiece.

What Is a Big Walk?

Big Walk is an adventure game that you play cooperatively with friends. You and your friends walk through an open world that is based on Wilsons Promontory National Park in Victoria, Australia, where players play as ants with rounded bodies that are supported by noodly legs, noodly arms, big round eyes, and wagging noses when you speak.

The game engages players in puzzle-solving throughout the game. This is where the core of the game relies because, by trying to solve these puzzles, players are going to face many challenges revolving around teamwork and using methods of communication because the game has a proximity chat system.

And there is more to it. It’s not only about puzzles in the game. There is a room where a friend can customize your body, and you can’t do it by yourself. Adding this kind of touch really adds a lot to the game.

Gameplay & Exploration

If we look at the overall experience of the game, it is about enjoying spending time with your friends by exploring together, solving puzzles as a team, and communicating with your friends.

Explore Together

Having proximity chat, forcing teammates to stick together, and having puzzles that depend on another person means that everyone is involved in solving the puzzle.

Cooperative Puzzles

You can run, and you can even hand-sign to other teammates, but you also have to carry items. From the start of the game, you need to think about which teammate is going to carry which item.

Communication Tools

In this game, you’re also going to be isolated from your friends sometimes, and then you have to figure out ways to communicate with them. Sometimes there is going to be a window where you can communicate with your friend, or there are going to be tools that allow you to communicate with a friend who is quite a distance away.

The game supports up to 12 people at once. According to how many players you bring into the game, the game changes a bit. For example, there might be a possibility that distances become larger if there are more players, or heights might be increased to balance the number of players and the overall difficulty of the game.

Why Fans Are Excited

I think the game is bringing a fun concept that is, for sure, going to get a lot of attention. I love playing puzzle games, but playing with my friends is going to add a lot more to the experience, so I don’t see any reason why this game shouldn’t get any attention.

Release Date

According to rumors, the game is scheduled to be released on August 4, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, PC, and Mac via Steam.
