As we all know we are currently in a world where the virtual world is a part of our daily life. From waking up in the morning to going to sleep at night we use the virtual world more than we think. But why this world has replaced ours? Honestly speaking the world of ours has got a bit boring for us but in the virtual world there is multiple source of entertainment that take our interest in them. But how is this possible that there is this many things that peaks our interest in them? There is power made by us Homosapiens that is so powerful that is sometimes not even understandable by us. I think you all probably guessed it by now yes we are talking about Artificial intelligence also called AI. So we will discussing about what is AI and some interesting facts about it.
What is AI?
AI is a machine or a computer that has intelligence like humans, giving them problem-solving capabilities also giving them ability to understand language. It is a tool that makes our life easier. It is something that helps us regarding any problems and a gives us a solution. AI is a machine that can surpass human capabilities in many ways. As of today AI is far more capable of doing things then before it has for more language understandings then before, it is more quick and has gained more intelligence over the years. But in conclusion, AI is machine or a computer who has human like intelligence, which gives ability to solve problems, understand language and many more.
History Of AI
The history of Artificial intelligence goes way back like thousands of year to the ancient philosophers. In the ancient times, the inventors created some kind of machine called “automatons” which were mechanical and moved independently of human intervention they looked like dolls but the had mechanical functionalities in them and so they don’t needed anyone to control them they could move independently like robots. The word automatons comes from ancient greeks which mean “acting of one’s own will”. The earliest record of a automaton comes from 400 BCE which is a mechanical pigeon created by a friend of the philosopher Plato. After a long time a automaton was created which turned out to be the most famous one called Leonardo Da Vinci created around the year 1495. Now less talk about the past let’s talk about the recent one in 20th century. In the early 1900s, there was a lot of media centered around the idea of Artificial intelligence. So many scientists of all sorts started asking the question: Is it possible to create Artificial Brains? When there was a lot of talk about the AI, many creators already created some versions of something we call “Robot”. The word was took from a Czech play in 1921. These were steam-powered for the most part, and some could make facial expressions and even walk. The birth of AI took place in the 1950-1956. During this period, AI interest peaked. Alan Turning’s publication “Computer Machinery and Intelligence” led to the creation of the Turning Test, used by experts to gauge computer intelligence. The term “artificial intelligence” was also coined and became widely used.
Conclusion
AI is a machine or a computer that is filled by human intelligence which helps him do various tasks such as solving problems to understanding languages but AI is more quick then Human. Artificial intelligence grow a lot from ancient times to now, where it was a mechanic doll or a robot called automatons and now mostly it exists in the virtual world. For now the basic idea of Artificial Intelligence is that, it is a tool that helps us to make our lives easier but the future holds more.
